Developing 'bottom-up' listening skills

When native English speakers talk, they link their words together and ‘swallow’ whole syllables. This is one of the biggest challenges students face when listening to English – distinguishing individual words. 
★ Here are three listening activities to help students develop their ‘bottom-up’ listening skills so they can decipher accurately what they hear and catch its meaning.
