I had the honor to take part in the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv. This year’s theme – “Education Shaping the World” – could not be more timely.
A very special moment was the Gala Tribute to Teachers, where inspiring stories of educators from around the globe were shared. Teachers from Canada, Brazil, Korea, Estonia, Lithuania, Kenya – and of course, our Ukrainian teachers, who continue teaching children despite war, occupation, or hospitals – all reminded us why education truly changes lives. 💙💛
📌 During the Summit, I also joined a workshop moderated by Maggie MacDonnell, Global Teacher Prize winner. Together with educators from different countries, we co-created a prototype of the lesson of the future. We combined global educational trends, explored technology in learning, emphasized timeless human values, and shaped a vision of a lesson that inspires, empowers, and prepares children for tomorrow.
I’m deeply grateful to the organizers and partners for putting teachers at the center of the global conversation.
🌍 Teachers matter.
We shape the future.
And the future will happen thanks to education.
